City Council Budget and Meetings Schedule for January 3rd through March 1st(FY 2012): Please
note all meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. Regular meetings start with an Executive Session at 6 p.m. The
list includes departments to be covered Staff expected to attend the respective sessions.
• January 3rd—Monday—Regular Council Meeting and Budget Introduction.Miller and Rusten.
• January 5tl'—Wednesday—Review of General Fund Revenues,Debt,City Council,City Manager,
Legal,Finance,GL/Payroll,Administrative/Insurance,Assessing and Tax. Rusten and Miller
• January 10th—Monday—Public Safety Budgets including Fire,Ambulance and Police. Brent,
Whipple,Miller and Rusten.
• January 12t1i—Wednesday_Revenues,Expenditures and Debt for Water, Stormwater, Water
Pollution Control plus Public Works and Parks Expenditures.Rabidoux,DiPietro,Crosby,Miller and
Rusten.
• January 13th—Thursday—The following departments and their"related"budgets: Recreation
(including any supplemental questions about Parks),Library,Planning,City Clerk/Treasurer.
Hubbard,L.Murphy,Conner,Kinville,Miller and Rusten.
• January 18th— Tuesday—Second Regular Session Meeting(moved from Jan. 17th due to observance
of Martiii Luther King,Jr.,day),including Budget Discussion and Update by Miller and Rusten.
• January 20th—Thursday— Capital Budget,"200"and"600"accounts. Review of Outstanding
Questions. Summary and Possible Action by CC. All department/division heads are encouraged to
attend.
NO 1 E,: Joint Meeting with Steering Committee. Anytime between January 19th and the 25th additional
meetings could be held by CC and,not less than 35 days prior to the annual meeting,the Steering
Committee will meet to review both budgets as have been approved by the CC and School Board.
• January 25th—Tuesday—last date for Steering Committee Meeting and,presumably,CC action.
• January 28th—Friday—Effective last date to post Warning and Public Hearing for Town Meeting(the
theoretical last date is January 30th but that's a Sunday

• February 8—Tuesday—Budget books mailed to voters.
• February 28th—Monday—Pre-Town Meeting/Public Hearing on the budgets.
• March 1st—Tuesday—Annual Meeting and vote.
