The development is to consist of 135 homes in single family, duplex, and three-family dwellings on nine (9) lots totaling 21.8 acres, nineteen (19) commercial development lots totaling 44.0 acres, one existing single family home, and 25.1 acres of undeveloped open space, 500 Old Farm Road. The Board reviewed the application on February 17, March 16, April 20, May 18, and May 26, 2021 and continued the hearing to address two outstanding issues. For this, the July 6, 2021 meeting, the public hearing will consist of a formal site visit. At the end of the Site Visit, the Board will continue the hearing to July 20th. No further review of the O’Brien Eastview application will take place during the regular meeting of 7/6. When: Tuesday, July 6, 2021, 5:30 – 6:00 pm Where: Staff requests the Board and interested persons park at the O’Brien family barn, 198 Old Farm Road and then walk to the west end of Old Farm Road to begin the site visit (see attached map). The site visit will end at the barn, enabling everyone to quickly get into their cars and move to the regular meeting location. Format: The site visit will be a part of the public hearing, with the narrowly defined objective of gathering information via field observation. Due to time constraints, the visit will be limited to 30 minutes. Board members are welcome to revisit the location if necessary. Because the rules of public hearings apply and it cannot be guaranteed that everyone will hear everything, it is critical that the site visit remain solely one of fact gathering and observation, and arguments not be presented. At 5:30, Staff will provide an introduction and enumerate the locations at which the group will stop to make observations. Board members, the applicant, and the public will each be given an opportunity to add an additional stopping point. The group will then proceed on the site visit, stopping in the pre-appointed locations to make observations. Recommendations or testimony pertaining to observations may be presented at the next Board hearing. #SD-20-40 2
