Williams
ALSO PRESENT: Tom Hubbard, Recreation Director
Minutes of the December meeting were approved.
The committee reviewed the fmal report and recommendations from consultant Matt
Poirier of Sanborn Head regarding the use of the landfill as a dog park. While the area
has been deemed suitable, a plan for some remediation is necessary before proceeding to
the state permit process. After some vigorous conversation and support of the content
and recommendations, the committee voted unanimously to recommend to the City
Council their continued support for proceeding with the landfill as the premier site for a
fenced-in dog park, understanding this comes with required modifications to the site at an
additional cost.
The committee worked on a format for the presentation to City Council on February 2nd
The discussion will include what's been accomplished to date with the site analysis, what
additional work needs to be done, and seeking Council's approval to move forward with
this process. Dog Park committee members will be present and Matt Poirier will
represent Sanborn Head at the meeting.
Lisa will work to develop a FAQ sheet for handout at the meeting. This will include
history, background, survey data, and status report. Also, the committee will
communicate with the distribution list to help get the word out.
Members briefly talked about fundraising efforts, understanding the site still needs to be
confirmed by Council before proceeding any further.

Respectfully submitted,
Thomas Hubbard
