Please plan to attend this meeting. Very truly, Richard Ward, Zoning Administrative Officer RW/mcp December 27, 1985 Nelson Carpentry 41 Central Avenue South Burlington, Vermont 05401 Re: 5 Cedar Court Dear Mr. Nelson: Regarding the application for a zoning variance for the property owned by Cassis and Peterson. The application is incomplete in that the plan submitted does mot provide the information necessary. We need a site plan of the lot in question drawn to scale, along with a floor plan. The next hearing being January 27, 1986 with the filing dead- line of January 7, 1986. Information for lot sizes can be obtained from the City Assessor. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 658-7955. They are seeking a variance to allow them to have a studio apartment in that building. This is to inform the Zoning Board of Adjustment that, provided the subject unit is not separately rented or permanently inhabited as a discrete unit, we have no objection to allow- ing a studio apartment in that building. It is our under- standing that the unit will be used on weekends or vacations by Messrs Cassis and Peterson. This use will have no ill effects on this neighborhood. The two individuals have invested significant amounts of time and money in completely rehabilitating 5 Cedar Court and the house next to it. Their efforts have considerably improved the appearance of this part of Queen City Park. They should certainly be allowed access to the studio apart- iaeiit to derive benefit from their efforts.
