Re: UVM Silo Construction
Dear Dick:
It is my understanding that the University of Vermont
proposes to erect a 60-foot silo on the former Urban Wheelock
farm situated on the southwest corner of the intersection of
Spear and Swift Streets. For the record, I have no objection
to the erection of such a silo.

Dear Mr. Ward:
Just a brief note to tell you that my wife and I own the property directly
to the north of the Wheelock Farm. We understand the University of Vermont
has asked to place a sixty foot silo on that property. We wish you to
know that though we will not be attending the zoning meeting on Monday,
6/23, we do not oppose the placement of a silo on that property, providing
it is of the description contained in the warning.
Very sincerely,
Herbert L. Martin, :13.

I am writing in regard to the appeal by UVM for
permission to construct at 60 ft. silo at the Wheelock
Farm. As a neighbor with property abutting the farm,
I would like to urge approval by the Zoning Board of
this request. The continued farm use of that property
by the University is a substantial benefit to the
entire neighborhood since it keeps the land open and
also productive.
I will be out of town on June 23
attend the hearing. I hope their
