I believe this is the information that the Zoning Board wished in connection with Mrs. Deslaurier's application. Very truly yours, John T . Ewing JTE/p Enc. RICHARD C. THOMAS SECRETARY OF STATE JAM=a DEPUTY STATE OF VERVMONT SECRETARY OF STATE MONTPELIER July 30, 1969 Mrs. Ruth Deslaurier Quarry. Hill Country Club 360 Speer Street Burlington, Vermont 05401 Dear Mrs. Deslaurier: This will confirm our conversation of yesterday regarding a sign you propose to erect on the Quarry Hill Country Club property near the Gaynes Department Store and approximately opposite the Sheraton Motel sign on Williston Road, South Burlington, Vermont bordering U.S. 2. The understanding was that you may erect an "on premise" sign in this location as long as it is not erected primarily to be visible from Interstate 89. This sign is to be a "double faced" sign having copy on both sides and erected at such an angle as to be primarily visible from Route U.S. 2. The local ordinance of the Town of South Burlington must be complied with in addition to the restrictions provided in Chapter 14, Title 10, V.S.A. You seem to have a desirable and useful recreation center at Quarry Hill and we wish you success in it's continued development. I believe architect Marcel Beaudin has a good idea of what is necessary to comply with the State Law. I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with you and Mr. Beaudin. Sincerely, r; Joseph t•; . Moore Administrative Assistant to Secretary of State im,i/C c cc: Marcel Beaudin, 110 East Spring Street, Winooski, Vermont Mr. John T.
