SEPTEMBER 26, 1978
Continue public hearing on final plat for DesLauriers 1 lot subdivision,
Sherry Road
Mr. Ralph DesLauriers said that the original request was for a 1 lot
subdivision with 170' of frontage on Sherry Road and 100' of depth in the
lot. He said that the Commission had asked about the backland and he had
drawn a couple of very quick sketches as to how roads could be laid out in
that area, although he added that he would not wart to be held to either
of them. he said that he had decided to take 60' off the south side of the
lot in order to leave room for a road throu€h that piece into the backland,
which would leave them with more options when the piece was developed. The
resulting lot will have 117' of frontage, 100' of depth and 124' along the
back line. It was determined that the 60' piece cculd not be called a
pre existing lot in the future because it would be connected to the backland.
Mir. Levesque moved to close the public hearing. Y,r. Jacob seconded the
motion and it passed unanimously.
Mr. Woolery moved that the South Burlington Planning Commission approve
the final plat application of Roland and Evangeline DesLauriers for a 1 lot
subdivision, as depicted on a plan drawn by Green r_ountain Surveys, dated
7 14 78, subject to the following stipulations:
1. A final plat, showing the centerline of the brook, shall be
recorded within 90 days.
2. The recreation fee is waived.
--3. The final plat shall show the exact lot lines.
The motion was seconded by MIr. Jacob and passed with all in favor. There was
a discussion of why the recreation fee was waived and Yx. Page said it would
amount to very little. Mr. DesLauriers offered to buy some baseball bats
in lieu of the fee and Kr. Poger felt that was a very good idea.
