ADDENDUM to a TRAFFIC STUDY of the PROPOSED MCDONALD' S RESTAURANT U.S. Route YtL7 South Burl naton, Vermont Woodstock, Ver,�ont December, 1977 -1- This addendum to the original traffic study is to provide additional information as requested by the South Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment. TRAFFIC DISTRIBUTION - Figure #1 I These volumes are based on counts taken by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Agency in the vicinity of Nordic--,) Ford June 29-July 6, 1976 and expanded to 1977. Traffic conditions during this period of the year (4th of July holi- day) generally represents some of the higher traffic volumes conditions of the year, therefore, representing a conserva- tive approach. "Vj wmk 4 pm- 6 pm 2 sec. 9 am-4 pm 75 sec. � �� ,-- -3- DRIVE-UP ORDER WINDOW STORAGE REQUIREMENTS The basis for determining the storage requirements for drive - up facilities was a study done for drive-in bank facilities and is based on acceptable waiting times. Based on an acceptable waiting time of ten minutes for one window, six storage spaces are required. For an acceptable waiting time of fifteen minutes and one window, nine storage spaces would be required. The site plan of the proposed McDonald's Restaurant has suffi- cient room to store fourteen vehicles behind the vehicle be- ing serviced at the pick-up window. In addition to the above storage there is room for three vehicles between the pick-up window and the vehicle waiting to enter Route #7.
