IDS Life Insurance Company 1159 Williston Road South Burlington, Vermont 05z Bus. (802) 658-0629 July 13, 1992 city of South Burlington Zoning Office 575 Dorset Street South Burlington, VT 05403 Re: Replacement of sign at 1159 Williston Road Enclosed are four drawings and three applications for signs at 1159 Williston Road. The first drawing is as it exsists today. The second drawing is our proposed change. All that will be altered is the facade of the top sign, there will be no structural changes at all. The building no longer belongs to Mr. Black and his offices have moved elsewhere. IDS Financial Services moved into the building in late April. I have also enclosed a copy of the company specifications that have gone to the sign maker. The third drawing is the proposed new IDS sign with another sign advertising available office space. This sign is one that Mr. Black has had and used in the past. I would like a permit to use this sign as the dynamics of the building call for it. The fourth drawing is the west porch of the building where I propose to attach a sign I have from a previous office. I will attach it to the chimney with screws. It is made of the same materials as the IDS sign that will be on the front sign board but is a smaller size. As I stated before, there will be no structural changes made to the exsisting sign and it will not be moved from its present location. Each side of the sign is identical now, and will be in both instances depicted in the drawings. The method of illumination will remain the same, lit from a lamp at the top of the top sign. The new IDS sign will be screwed to the face of the sign board after the Black's Office Building sign is removed. If you need any more information please call. We are taking delivery of the new IDS signs on August 1st. Zr erey Barber
