Burlington, VT Dear Mrs. Bechtel: 1580-1600 Shelburne Road So. Burlington, VT 05402 802-863-6000 I am writing concerning Allson Partnership's application for the project at Nordic Toyota. Our Toyota business has grown threefold in the past three years and we find we need to provide a larger, more modern facility to better service our existing customers. Although we anticipate some additional growth in the next few years, these new facilities are designed to handle it. We were asked by our architects to provide you with some traffic count data so you might better assess the impact of this project on Shelburne Road traffic. I have enclosed copies of the count from Monday, August 12th through Wednesday, August 14th. These are normally our higher traffic days and are representative for comparable periods during the year. Our traffic count drops Thursday and Friday, and Saturday is a sales only day (our service, parts and body shop departments are closed), so the impact on Shelburne Road traffic would be less. The highest count was 4 to 6 pm on Monday, the 12th, when 256 trips were counted. As our architects have told you, we are in the process of purchasing the Otter Valley facility located on Green Mountain Drive in back of our present facilities which will increase our green space requirements and by the hearing date those negotiations should be far enough along to assure your committee of a definite transfer to Allson Partnership. WE DO IT RIGHT... THE FIRST TIME! I NORDIC FORD/TOYOTA Mrs. Jane Bechtel 1580-1600 Shelburne Road So. Burlington, VT 05402 802-863-6000 Page 2 We have enjoyed doing business in South Burlington and hope that your committee gives favorable approval for this project so we may remain here within the community with our Toyota operation.
