Rice Memorial High School
The Catholic Diocese of Burlington is proposing a Kitchen Renovation project at Rice Memorial High
School located at 99 Proctor Ave. The existing cooler & freezer would be taken off-line and a new
combo cooler/freezer unit would be installed outside of the kitchen, adjacent to the South-East corner
of the building near the existing kitchen. The existing cooler and freezer space will become dry storage.
This project is important as it will bring online new cooler/freezer technology that is highly energy
efficient, and also replaces equipment that is at least 15 years old. If the old system goes down, we are
in jeopardy of failing to deliver lunch not only for Rice Students, but for 2 other Catholic Grade schools in
the area.
