POOL March 28, 1967 Mr. Henry LaClair Town Manager South Burlington, Vermont Dear Sir: Since I am unable to attend the hearing of the '.Zoning Board, of Adjustment re McNash Motors on March 29, will you please read this letter on my behalf. I am the owner of the property at 1233 Shelburne Road, so called Nast O'La.ke Inn and Motel, located north of McNash Motors. The Ballard property lies between McNash Motors and my property, and since McNash has pur- chased the. Ballard property, it will allow the firm to extend itsbusiness adjoining my property. I would like McNash Motors to Install a high, concealing fence to protect the value of my land as well as neighboring property. Burlington at our place of business for the express purpose of disposal of surface and wash water. We will comply with all regulations as to the use of this sewer and will install the necessary man -hole, trap, and piping. Please grant us this permission in writing and supply our contractor with any permit necessary for him to complete the work. Dear Henry, Thank you for your letter of April 6th concerning our use variance request and its subsequent approval. We would like now to request permission to move the garage and renovate into a sales office. Also we have some interior improvements to be made to the building. We have decided to redecorate the upstairs apart- ment and rent it. We will use the present showroom for our general bookkeeping offices. The rear of the building will become our used car reconditioning center and our new car get -ready area. McDowell McN ash Motors Incorporated Shelburne Road South Burlington, Vermont Dear Pete: The Board of Selectmen met prior to the Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting and decided to await the Zoning Board's recommendation as a formality more than anything else. They did, however, ask that you submit a plot plan for reference. This does not necessarily require an elaborate insibr-c.-Iec ;t. It would suffice if you started with the side line on Shelburne Road, outlined your present lot and the Ballard Pottery lot somewhat to scale, located the outline of the buildings involved and put in the names of adjacent property owners. Mc- Dowell -Gilbertson also agreed to place a fence along the acquired Ballard property, the type fence being the same as existing along the west side of present used car area.
