Burlington City Co}zncil South Burlington Vermont 05401 Gentlemen: Inasmuch as my present lease will be expiring in the very near future, my desires are to continue my insurance businQss in South Burlington at 1210 Shelburne Road. The purpose for my being at this meeting is to seek permission from the Council to raise the roofline on the above mentioned building in order that I may utilize the existing floor space. I also want to add a second means of egress from the second floor and to utilize this property as a dual purpose consisting of insurance and real estate. I have no plans of changing the exterior architectural design of this structure or the present landscaping other than what is mentioned above. The traffic flow in this area will also remain stable inasmuch as insurance sales are accomplished away from the office area and I will be reducing the real estate staff to a one resident member. Burlington, VT 05401 Dear Mr. Ward: This writer has entered into a contract with the above mentioned to purchase his property contingent upon the acceptance of the Zoning Board in allowing the new owner to house an insurance office in the existing Real Estate Agency. It is also the desires of the new owner to make the following changes: 1. Construct a 27t x 10t dormer in the rear of the dwelling for the purpose of employee lounge and office. 2. Convert the first floor kitchen to a reception area. 3. Construct a second means of egress from the second story. 4. Installation of proper electrical and plumbing fixtures to achieve the above mentioned.
