Dear Mr. Gebauer:
This office is returning a check in the amount of three thousaw three
hundred and fifty ($3,350) dollars issued November 26, 1979 as a per-
formance bond for certain site improvements at the Shel.nurne Bead branch.
Tt is my understanding that the fire hydrant to be installed by the 60utll'
Burlington Water Department will be completed around mid September, at an
agreed cost, to be paid by Vermont National Bank. The sioewalx, as installed,
is acceptable to the City. The landscaping is also acceptable, however, shoula
you have a loss by next spring those that die should be replaced.
Should you have any questions regarding this matter please don`t hesitate to
call me.
Very truly,
Richard Ward,
Zoning Administrative officer

Re: Next Meeting's Agenda Items
Date: October 19, 1979
McDonald's
McDonald's proposes to secure additional land to the rear of the Citgo Station,
the realignment of the property lines are not deemed a subdivision, however,
a greater non -conformity will be created to the Citgo lot and building. The
circulation pattern of the new parking area does not seem partial, snow removal
and storage is questionable. Suggest that this proposal be reviewed by Mr.
Bruce Houghton.
Vermont National Bank
City Council approved this plan with the following stipulations:
(1) that two accesses onto Shelburne Road be provided with one enter only and
one exit only, with the exit only being located near the south property line.
(2) that the applicant cooperate with the neighboring property owners in coordinating
that exit at the time when they are ready to develop.
The site is the former Fayette resident located southerly of the South Burlington
Chrysler - Plymouth business.
Existing landscaping is more than sufficient to cover the provision within the
ordinance. Attached is a copy of Bruce Houghton recommendations which were requested
by the City Council.

RE: Case No. PB-4-0460, Branch Bank facility, 1117 Shelburne Road,
South Burlington, Vermont
Dear Mr. Gebauer,
On February 29, 1980, Mr. Gordon Root, Sr., P.E. wrote to me to advise
this office that the plumbing in the referenced project would not be
relocated as shown on Drawing No. P-1, P-2, or P-3 as prepared by
Wiemann-Lamphere, Architects. Therefore, as no plumbing work is proposed,
and there is only a change in use of the building with existing hook-ups
to the municipal sewer and water systems, the project is being withdrawn
from consideration at this time.
Our office shall retain the correspondance and copies of Drawing No.'s
P-1, P-2 and P-3 for reference in the future with all other plans being
returned to you.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Ernest P. Christianson
Regional Engineer
