The caller stated that a male identified as Chad Limoge, 31, of Colchester, VT was running down Williston Road with a female that had been involved in the disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation into the incident. Through this investigation it was learned that Limoge had rented a motel room with the female victim in this case approximately 1 day prior. During that 1 day period, Limoge held the victim against their will inside the motel room and prohibited them from leaving or communicating with friends or emergency services to ask for help. This included violence on many occasions, including threatening the victim with a knife and chocking the victim. Just prior to Officers arrival, the victim had left the room after Limoge took her cell phone destroying it and assaulted the victim further in front of a witness. Limoge also vandalized the victim’s vehicle causing serious damage. While speaking with Limoge in relation to this incident it was revealed that an active warrant for his arrest for contempt of court existed. Limoge was subsequently taken into custody on that warrant. In addition, Limoge was charged with Domestic Assault, Unlawful Restraint, Unlawful Mischief, and Interference with Access to Emergency Services. Limoge was subsequently lodged at the Chittenden County Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on 05/25/2018 at 0830 hours to answer to the above listed charges.
