INCIDENT TYPE: Simple Assault
BRIEF NARRATIVE:
On April 19th, 2018 at 5:14 am, Officers were dispatched to a hotel on Shelburne Rd for a report of a male
who had been assaulted. Officers upon their arrival were able to locate the victim, and observed him to have injuries to his face, eye, neck, arms and fingers. The victim stated that he had gotten into a fight with one of his friends and that the individual had left the scene prior to officer’s arrival. The victim identified his attacker as Cody A. Bussiere 23 y/o of Newport, VT. Officers after a brief investigation were able to ascertain that Bussiere had traveled to an address on Elmwood Ave in Burlington, VT. With the help of Burlington PD, officers were able to locate Bussiere who was subsequently arrested for simple assault and was later released on a flash citation to appear at Chittenden County Superior Court- Criminal Division on 04/24/2018 at 0830 hours for the offense.
