Dear Board Members: On November 30, 2018, O’Brien Farm Road, LLC (“Applicant”) submitted an application for sketch plan review (the “Application”), for the development of 322 multi-family residential dwelling units within the approved O’Brien Farm Master Plan. Subsequently, in a letter dated December 20, 2018, the Applicant submitted additional information requested by the City of South Burlington as part of the review of the Application. At that time, the request was made for the Applicant to provide some additional information on the architecture style proposed for the apartments. We appreciate the opportunity to supplement our original application with the attached updated photo renderings of the Project. Please note that this exhibit represents the current thinking with regard to the project’s character and is not a final plan. The Applicant is interested in the feedback of the Board as well as City Staff, and is certainly open to suggested improvements, however this is the general direction that the Applicant is headed. At this stage, we hope that the enclosed exhibit and our discussion on February 5th is sufficient for the Board to make a preliminary determination with some certainty as to whether or not the height and scale of the buildings proposed can eventually be approved. The investment in design of these six structures for the Prelimary Plat filing is significant, and so having some certainty will be most appreciated. We look forward to our discussion on February 5th, and we are eager to work with the Board and the City Staff to develop a project that all stake-holders can be excited about.
