General project description (explain what you want approval for): This project includes updates to the previously-approved Taxiway G Relocation Project (#SP-16-82). The new features include: • Construction of a holding bay designed to accommodate two aircraft that will be positioned parallel to Runway 15- 33. A jet blast deflection structure is proposed to be installed approximately 100 feet westerly of the holding bay. Rev. 5-2018 • Rehabilitation of a portion of the Air Carrier Apron. This work involves removing existing bituminous pavement from approximately 1.2 acres of the apron and repaving this area. Drainage improvements including grading changes will be made to better facilitate drainage. No new impervious will be created in the Air Carrier Apron area. • Installation of subsurface piping to redirect stormwater runoff to an existing glycol treatment system. • Edge of pavement design changes to increase turning radii for the design aircraft at taxiway/runway intersections. Previously approved project elements may be deferred to a future construction phase. These include removing and relocating a portion of the existing Taxiway A pavement, and improvements to the existing North Outfall channel. b. Existing Uses on Property (including description and size of each separate use): The BTV airfield includes the active runways, taxiways, Air Carrier Apron, and adjacent areas between the existing terminal and the Air Guard property. The areas not paved are open and vegetation is limited to grass. c. Proposed Uses on property (include description and size of each new use and existing uses to remain): The proposed project will not change the use of the BTV airfield. The proposed elements will provide improved safety for circulation of aircraft when taxiing to and from the runways. Restoration of the north outfall channel will reduce erosion and improve water quality. d. Total building square footage on property (proposed buildings and existing buildings to remain): There will be no change to the existing buildings on the property. e. Height of building & number of floors (proposed buildings and existing buildings to remain, specify if basement and mezzanine): Not applicable. f. Number of residential units (if applicable, new units and existing units to remain): Not applicable. g. Number of employees (existing and proposed, note office versus non-office employees): Not applicable. The project will not change the number of employees at BTV. h.
