Hi Dave,
In addition to the information I sent out last week below is a summary explaining how the NOTEII Apron is meeting the
South Burlington LDRs.
The NOTEII Apron, located just North of the Main Terminal, currently drains to an existing infiltration system associated
with a Underground Injection Control (UIC) permit. This system is currently gravity fed. Due to updated permit conditions
associated with our UIC permits, we’re relocating this runoff to a newer system installed in 2016 that uses pump stations
to inject stormwater runoff into the ground. Stormwater Runoff from this area will flow into a trench drain, into a
hydrodynamic separator, diverted to a large storage tank and pumped into a system of perforated pipes sized to inject up
to the 1 year design storm (2.1”). Larger storm events will overflow a weir and discharge to the north outfall to an
unnamed tributary of the Winooski River.
If you have any additional questions about this, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Good Morning Dave,
Hope all is well, its been a while!
We’re still putting the final touches on our Stormwater Permit Amendment that I was planning on sending along but we’re
still short a few of the plans required under the new rules. In lieu of that, I’ve provided the specific information requested
2
below. See the attached. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I’ll be available by phone this
week and available for a meeting next week if you would like.
Thanks and happy Holidays!

Chris,
Would you please provide responses to Dave Wheeler’s comments below? As noted in Marla Keen’s email, we can
coordinate directly with Dave, but be sure Marla, Larry Lackey, and I are included on correspondence to ensure the
records are complete.
Thanks,
Jon

Subject: SP‐18‐57 Runway Expansion ‐ stormwater
Hi Jon,
3
I’ve received a request for more information from Dave Wheeler, our assistant stormwater superintendent on your
runway expansion application.
Are those two “catch basin” icons on sheet SK‐503 actually runway markings?
Please provide the following:
‐ Updated drainage areas for each stormwater treatment practice.
‐ Updated calculations for each stormwater treatment practice indicating sufficient capacity for revised drainage
areas.
‐ Confirm all new or redeveloped impervious area is provided with treatment in accordance with the City’s LDRs.
‐ A brief narrative might help as well.
If you need to reach out to Dave directly, that’s fine, but please copy me on all correspondence for recordkeeping
purposes.
Thank you,
Marla Keene, PE
