Model Description
•Boeing 737-900 with both engines running at
breakaway thrust
•BDI G14NB taxi/breakaway jet blast deflector (JBD)
•JBD: Approximately 14 ft tall and 600 ft wide
•Aircraft tail 100 ft from front edge of JBD
•Simulation performed with computational fluid
dynamics (CFD) using a compressible flow algorithm
•Velocity magnitude data are given in the following
images in miles per hour
