Mr. Fred Blais, Chairman
South Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment
South Burlington, Vermont 05403
Dear Fred:
At the request of the City Council, I am writing to express their concern
reference two (2) items on the Zoning Board of Adjustment Agenda for October
23, 1989.
Item #1: The appeal of Merrill Jarvis for the expansion of the Theatre, raises
question of adequate parking and traffic flow. At showtimes, with one
crowd entering the parking lot and another exiting, a dangerous situation
may exist along an extended area of Williston Road.
Item #3: The appeal of Salamin Handy for the property at 974 Shelburne Road
concerns the Council due to a violation of the set -back provisions
from a residential district. A similar proposal to this was previously
turned down by the Zoning Board when filed by Cumberland Farms. Council
encourages you to obtain a plan from the applicant that would require
zero variances to use as a base plan.
Please contact my office if you have any questions.
Sincerely;
