FRASER DEPUTY COMMISSIONER We refer to your letter and enclosed drawing of January 30, 1978 concerning the above subject, and would advise that State approval for this project will be held in abeyance pending a resolution of the following items: 1. The attendant's primary function at the console shall be to supervise, observe and control the dispensing of gasoline in accordance with Section 7643 of National Fire Protection Association #30 which forms part.of the Vermont Fire Code. Consequently, we must know if the attendant will have other duties that may divert his attention from the gasoline pumps. For example, we would not agree to a grocery store in con- junction with this service. 2. The drawing and your letter do not mention the following required items: (a) Convex mirrors to cover the pump island for visual aid. (b) Fire extinguishers. (c) Intercom control station. (d) Signs indicating no smoking; stop engine; and warning sign regarding unapproved containers. (e) Hose nozzle valves to be automatic -closing types without a latch -open device. 3.
