You issued a building permit on November 9, 1973, based on a 301 x 601 storage shed to be constructed at the Pizzagalli Warehouse Yard on San Remo Drive. At the same time, the Zoning Board of Adjustment granted our request for a 51 rear yard setback. We have done the engineering layout at the site and have brought in and compacted gra- vel for the foundation base. We are now requesting a new permit or a change to the existing permit for constructing the same storage shed with new dimensions of 251 x 1101 with the same 51 rear yard setback, as shown on the site plan. It is my understanding that the Zoning Board of Adjustment must review this new proposal on April 15, 1974. Our exist- ing building permit is valid for six months, which means that it will run out on April 9, 1974. However, we feel that as we have started construction on the project, we presently have a vested interest. We hope to receive approval from the Zoning Board of Adjustment to construct the 251 x 1101 building. In the event the board refuses to grant the variance, we Mr. Richard Ward -2- March 28, 1974 would like the option of proceeding with the construction of the original building, or course, with your approval, even though the permit will have exceeded the six months period.
