HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP-98-0000 - Decision - 1200 Airport Drive (2)FINDINGS OF FACT & DECISION STATE OF VERMONT 0006 COUNTY OF CHITTENDEN CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON Re: Findings of Fact, application of Burlington International Airport to: 1) extend runway 33 a distance of 500 feet to the northwest, 2) extend taxiways 'G' and 'F', and 3) associated relocation of lighting, landing aid, fencing and safety area construction, Airport Drive, On the 27th day of January, 1998, the South Burlington Planning Commission approved the request of Burlington International Airport for site plan review under Section 26.10 of the South Burlington Zoning Regulations based on the following findings: 1. This project consists of: 1) extending runway 33 a distance of 500 feet to the northwest, 2) extend taxiways "G" and "F", and 3) associated relocation of lighting, landing aid, fencing and safety area construction. This project is completed. 2. Access /circulation: There will be no access changes to the airport resulting from this project. Circulation on the site in adequate. 3. Coverage/setbacks: Due to the vast size of the airport property, coverages have never been calculated. 4. There were no structures as part of this project so there are no setback issues. 5. Parking: No additional parking required. 6. Landscaping: There is no minimum landscaping requirements, based on building costs, for this project. DECISION & CONDITIONS Based on the above Findings of Fact, the South Burlington Planning Commission approves the site plan application of Burlington International Airport to: 1) extend runway 33 a distance of 500 feet to the northwest, 2) extend taxiways IG' and 'F', and 3) associated relocation of lighting, landing aid, fencing and safety area construction, Airport Drive, as depicted on a 14 page set of plans, page one (1) entitled "City of Burlington, Vermont Burlington International Airport Relocate Runway 15-33, 500' North Extend Taxiway 'G' Extend Taxiway 'F' Title Sheet," prepared by Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc., dated April, 1997, with the 1 following stipulations: 1. All previous approvals and stipulations which are not superseded by this approval shall remain in effect. 2. The applicant shall obtain a zoning permit within six (6) months pursuant to Section 27.302 of the zoning regulations or this approval is null and void. 3. The applicant shall obtain a Certificate of Occupancy/Compliance from the Administrative officer prior to the use of the extended runway and taxiways. 4) Any change to the site plan shall require approval by the South Burlington Planning Commission.
