Marla:
SD 18‐32 Had a construction permit that expired two or more years ago, so they have to start over with FMO.
SD 18‐57 Is away from occupied building so we have no comment
SD 18‐33 Will need a full review from FMO although we have seen 2‐iternations for the project.

Subject: Three Airport Applications for review
Good morning,
We’ve received 3 applications for the Airport, all of which will be reviewed by the DRB on 1/15. If possible, please
provide initial comments to me by the end of next week (12/28), as this is the date I’ve promised them a first‐pass level
of comments, but if not possible, the drop‐dead date to provide your final comments to me is one week later on 1/4.
SD‐18‐32 – Airport Quick Turn Around Sketch Plan – This project consists of 1)razing the existing car wash facility, 2)
constructing a new 7,990 sq. ft. auto rental car wash facility, and 3) constructing a 2,353 sq. ft. six position fueling
canopy. It is located on existing impervious surfaces, and only affects circulation for vehicles associated with the car
wash. There will be no public access. A larger version of this project received approval in 2016. (\\city‐

SP‐18‐57 – Airport Taxiway “G” Expansion Site Plan – This project consists of 1) constructing an expansion of the existing
taxiway “G” for the purpose of an airport holding area, 2) constructing a jet blast deflector, 3) miscellaneous taxiway
turning radius improvements, and 4) stormwater improvements. I understand there was some hullabaloo when this
project was first proposed in 2016. We may be seeking technical review of the jet blast deflector. I requested
stormwater calculations on 12/7 but am not aware that we have received it. (\\city‐adserver\apps\USERS\Planning &

SD‐18‐33 – Airport Hotel Sketch Plan – This project consists of constructing a 102 room 5‐story hotel adjacent to the
southern end of the existing parking garage. This is nearly the same as the sketch plan reviewed in early 2018, but the
allowable period lapsed so they are submitting again. They have substantially refined vehicle and pedestrian circulation
details, including addition of a pedestrian walkway over the fire lane. (\\city‐adserver\apps\USERS\Planning &

Also look for a separate message soliciting review of the next phase of the O’Brien Home Farm, which involves 6 multi‐
family buildings containing 322 dwelling units and two smaller accessory structures. This review will be due 1/ 25.
