I would like to remodel and add on to the present structure at 8 Pinetree Terrace for the following reasons. A) I will be married on June 28, 1980.and my family will increase to a total of four persons from the present total of one. B) The cost of relocating in this community to accomo date my larger family is prohibitive at this point in time. 2. A diagram of the request for variance is attached. 3. I feel that several criteria can be described that will help to justify our need for a variance. A) The lot is very narrow at 60 feet and the present structure measures 32 feet in width by 24 feet in depth, leaving at present 16 feet on the left side of the lot and 10 feet 4 inches on the right side. The present structure is non -conforming to the 15 foot requirement by 4 feet 8 inches, but was built in 1950. 9) The proposed addition keeps the present lines of the house intact and adds depth to the present structure as well as a slight rise in the roof line of approximately 4 feet. C) The proposed lower floor addition of a kitchen and family room, with the small foyer entry has been planned to fit the existing lines as well as our needs. D) Altering the addition to fit zoning requirements would mean a complete change in the concept of the addition as well as limiting the use of the present kitchen (which will become a dining room) to enter the upstairs proposed bedroom addition. E) I am not interfering in any manner with view of neighbors or intruding on the privacy of same as a large row of 10 foot shrubs and a fence form the property line. The only bordering neighbors at this exact point of addition is a multi family apartment house on Williston Road.
