October 27, 1986 Dear Mr. Ward., It is still hard for me to believe the Zoning Board. denied my application for the variance I asked for because of the hardship critera. I°m sure they were following this ordinance to the letter, however, I believe the term "hard.ship" is still a relative term. What is termed. hardship for one may not be for another and. vice versa. By d.enying this variance it seems to me that the board is insensitive to the need.s of many homeowners. As dear as land is in So. Burlington, it is certainly not my intention to render useless, to me, 360 sq. feet of my yard., especially when my neighbors involved highly approve my request for the variance. There is no way the city could. benefit from this denial and. this disservice to me. Respectfully, No Text
