Dear Mr. Ward
I understand that because of Zoning restrictions it is
necessary for me to apply for a variance from the Zoning
-oard of Adjustment in order to obtain a permit from
your office to construct a 24, x 26, second story addition
to my home at 18 dills Avenue. I further understand that
the restrictions which I must appeal are minimum lot size
and set back requirements.
As I am sure you are aware, the neighborhood in which I
am located is, comparatively speaking, a fairly old one.
I believe that most of the lots on Mills Avenue do not
meet all of the dimensional requirements of the present
coning Ordinance. I would like to point out that the
type of addition which I am proposing is very similar
to additions which have already been done to other homes
on my street.
Enclosed please find copies of: lot layout; line drawing
of elevation with proposed addition: photographs showing
present structure: photographs showing (approximately)
proposed structure; letters from adjacent neighbors.
If you need additional information, please contact me
at your earliest convenience. I understand that if all
the necessary information is in .your hands by August 24,
1982, my appeal will be put on the September 13, 1982
agenda of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Very truly/ yours,
Kenneth R. McCormick
