Hi Marla,
Our reasoning is for pedestrian safety. Deleting the slip ramp would eliminate potential interactions with vehicles and
pedestrians on Shelburne Rd which tends to be high volume and speed.
Our city policy is to continue the sidewalk panels at grade through the slip ramp much like a driveway. We only put
detectable warning plates at street intersections.

Hi Caleb,
South Burlington’s position is that the one‐way in is a significant and substantial improvement compared to existing
conditions, consistent with what we suggested to them in our initial conversations. If Burlington would like to request
no access on Shelburne Street, it would be helpful to provide some reasoning for the Board’s consideration.
Can you clarify what you mean by having the sidewalk continue? ACRs with detectable warnings are provided, as is
pavement striping.

We had felt strongly about the removal of the slip ramp off Shelburne Rd. Or at a minimum having the sidewalk continue
through the drive entrance. These did not get incorporated into the plans.
Does S. Burlington favor the slip ramp?

Citgo. They’re doing a lot to improve and normalize vehicular circulation. Project description follows:
