I’m not able to participate in this evening’s meeting but hope that you will consider including this letter in the meeting record.     I am writing to highlight the critical need for the additional homes proposed by O’Brien Farm Road, LLC and South Village Communities, LLC. South Burlington is fortunate to be a place that Vermonters and newcomers alike want to call home. However, when the number of people who want to move here outpaces the number of homes added to our city, home prices rise beyond what most of us consider affordable.   Since 2010, South Burlington’s housing growth slowed to an annual pace of about 1% (from 2% before that). Meanwhile, the median price of all houses sold here shot up to $417,000 in 2019 from under $300,000 in 2010.   Thanks for your efforts to help improve housing affordability by allowing the number of homes here to more accurately reflect demand.   Leslie Black-Plumeau South Burlington resident and Affordable Housing Committee member  Leslie Black‐Plumeau | Community Relations & Research Manager  164 St. Paul St, Burlington VT, 05401 | 802.652.3429  Vermont Housing Finance Agency    vhfa Affordable homes for a sustainable Vermont   1 Marla Keene From:Prue Milnes <prue.milnes@gmail.com> Sent:Monday, May 18, 2020 1:32 PM To:Matt Cota Cc:Marla Keene Subject:EXTERNAL: Suspend DRB meetings          This message has originated from an External Source. Please use proper judgment and caution when opening  attachments, clicking links, or responding to this email.      As a South Burlington resident who is concerned with the scope of development  in our city and with going ahead with  DRB hearings during corona virus, I would strongly ask that you suspend hearings until the rest of the city opens up.  Thank you  Prue Milnes    Sent from my iPhone
