Trees to be planted on the south side of the proposed city street should be moved further off the curb to provide more rooting space(minimum of 7 ft)
The greenbelt on the north side of the proposed city street will require soil replacement with loam planting soil to a depth of 2.5 ft. to provide soil suitable for tree growth(currently
paved parking lot)
Would prefer to use Asiatic elm hybrids rather than American Elm cultivars along proposed city street. Asiatic Elms such as ‘Triumph’, ‘Accolade’, ‘Regal’, ‘Danada Charm’ are more consistently
resistant to disease problems than the American Elm cultivars
Planting Details reference a Soil Preparation Spec for backfill but I couldn’t find it
