RE: Aiken Forestry Sciences Laboratory — Sign Replacement

Dear Ray:
The University is proposing to replace sign panels on an existing brick pier structure located at
our Forestry Sciences Laboratory on Spear Street. As discussed during our phone conversation
last month, a sign replacement requires a permit and payment of a fee. For your consideration,
we have enclosed:
1. Application for Permanent Sign Permit;
2. Check #1300866 in the amount of $55.00 in payment of the permit fee;
3. Sign mock-up dated December 12, 2013;
4. Orthophoto Location Plan.
Thank you for conducting a preliminary review of the sign size and location with me. It was
quite helpful to know this sign complies with the sign regulations in South Burlington.
