Mr. Richard Ward
Zoning Commissioner
South Burlington, Vermont
Dear Mr. Ward:
The purpose of this letter and application is to obtain a variance
for converting a single family residence into a duplex. The exsisti.ng
lot size is approximately 900 square feet less than the required 12,000
square feet. Therefore, I am asking for relief from the 12,000 square
feet lot size requirement.
My plan is to convert the garage space into living space. I will
have one unit on the upper level. and a second unit on the lower level.
The exterior of the house will not change. There will be no physical
additions made to the property, and the house footprint will remain
the same.
As indicated on the attached plot plan, I have increased the
parking as required by the zoning regulations. I will attempt to
leave as many trees as possible in the parking area.
I appreciate your time and attention on this matter.
you ,

Re: Zoning appeal
Dear Mr. Johnson:
Be advised that the Zoning Board of Adjustment has denied your request
for a zoning variance. The Board finds that the proposal would
change the character of the neighborhood.
Formal findings will be issued at a later date. If you have any
questions please don't hesitate to call me.
Very truly,
Richard Ward,
Zoning Administrative Officer
