IifeAGLOW- IJ mu"" m REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT l January 7, 2015 Mr. Raymond Belair, Administrative Officer South Burlington Planning and Zoning 575 Dorset Street South Burlington, VT 05403 Re: Application for Permanent Sign: Parcel #0860-00636; 636 Hinesburg Road Dear Mr. Belair, Attached as Exhibit A, please find a complete City of South Burlington, Application for Permanent Sign Permit, for a planned permanent sign to be installed at 636 Hinesburg Road, South Burlington, Vermont. The approximate location of the sign is shown on the enclosed site plan. This application seeks approval for the construction of a new sign in the spring of 2015, in accordance with the attached designs. Further to the requirements of the South Burlington Sign Ordinance Section 9(d)(1)(ii)(C), in this location the City right of way is approximately 18 feet and the sign is proposed to be located no less than 19 feet from the edge of the traveled way. 1 As outlined on the attached layout, the proposed sign is approximately six square feet in total area and is a double -sided hanging sign with raised silver lettering on a black background. The sign will be fastened to a post installed in the ground with a metal hanging bracket. That bracket will be an approximately 2" in diameter hollow black pipe. Two of the LED lights specified in the attached cut sheet will be installed directly into the 2" diameter pipe (they will thread into the pipe and not the base plate shown in the cut sheet), such that the lights shine down from the bracket on either side of the double sided sign, and so will cause no safety issue or up cast light pollution.
