Dear Mr. and Mrs. Schinman:
This is to Inform you that the South Burlington Zoning
Board of Adjustment at their meeting held October 18,
1967, approved your request for a variance with the
stipulation that the garage be placed six and one-half
(61!*) feet from the lot line.
Approval of this variance does not negate the need of
obtaining a building permit.
Very truly yours,

Gentlemen:
We are requesting a waiver to the existing zoning
law recuiring a 15' minimum setback from side
property line for buildings.
We intend to build a garage on our property.(40 Baldwin Ave.)
Since the house to set back 181 from the
side property line, we cannot build a garage with a
15' setback and still Jpet the car in the garage.
Therefore we are requesting permission to build a
garage in back of the house with a 5' setback from
side property line as shown on acompanying skeetch.
We have obtained verbal approval trom the adjacent
owner, Mrs Trombley, her bank that holds her mortgage -
Burlington Federal Savings Bank (MR. Gebbe) and from
the bank that holds our mortgage - Burlington
Savings Bank (MR. Adams)
Sincerely yours,
Mildred R. Schinman
