Members present: Barb Sirvis (at large), Elizabeth (Betty) Milizia (NRC member), Linda Chiasson (at large),
Robin Cruz (at large), Mike Simoneau (RPC member), Larry Kupferman (at large), Maggie Leugers
(Staff/Advisor)
No members of the public were in attendance.
1. The committee was briefed by Maggie Leugers on safety procedures to exit the building if necessary.
2. The agenda was reviewed and Mike Simoneau agreed to take minutes.
3. Discussion occurred about how informational material might be posted, either as a part of the minutes through
Clerk Base or on the City’s web-site associated with the Dog Park Committee. Maggie will look into what is
most effective and practical.
4. A brief film “Why we are Doing what we are doing” Dog Park Go-Pro video” was watched by the committee.
5. Time was spent discussing the articulation of our “mission and vision”. Some consensus was developed
around MISSION: Enhance quality of life and community connections for SoBu residents through a series of
dog parks “Vision” still a work in progress.
6. Discussion occurred about strategic priorities/objectives. A list was developed that will be shared soon/by our
next meeting. How should these priorities be “PRIORITIZED”? Time will be spent at our next meeting
reviewing the list and doing so.
7. Discussion occurred about getting aligned on goals, which will inform decisions about site characteristics.
This will likely be an agenda item for the next meeting.
8. The committee agreed to meet on November 5, November 26, and December 4.
The meeting adjourned 6:45pm
