There were no amendments to the meeting Agenda nor was there any public comment. Andrew Bolduc described his edits to the latest draft of the proposed Section 18.03 which were discussed by all the members. Additionally, members raised questions about the content of the draft and discussion occurred regarding the different definitions of “affordable housing” in the proposed Section and in Article 2 (Definitions) of the Land Development Regulations. John and Sandy provided a summary of their “windshield survey” of certain residential areas in the City and the members discussed whether those areas retained their residential character or were evolving into a more commercial or retail nature. John and Sandy described a presentation they had attended regarding Geobarns, a housing design/build firm from White River Junction, VT with focus on affordable housing. The presenter suggested that single family housing could be produced for $200,000 (excluding land) or $150/square foot. The members discussed other similar products and the value of educating themselves regarding different housing designs. Tom moved and Leslie seconded approval of the minutes of the March 21st, 2017 meeting with one minor correction. The motion passed unanimously. Tom moved to adjourn and Leslie seconded.
