5:17 p.m. Call to Order
5:17 p.m. Additions or deletions to the posted agenda
Jennifer Murray added a discussion of requiring parents or guardians to sign a waiver for the
Library of Things for patrons under 18 years of age.
Jennifer Murray also raised the question of placing a limit on the number of items patrons can
check out at a time from the Library of Things.
5:20 p.m. Comments and questions from the public not related to items on the agenda

5:22 p.m. Approval of September 18, 2023 minutes ACTION
Anne Lalonde made a motion to approve the minutes and Stacey Pape seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
5:27 p.m. Review Computer and Internet Use Policy
Jennifer Murray reports the policy has not been required and there have been few issues with
computer usage and the internet. The committee chose to change specific references to COVID,
as well as removing “laptops,” as the library now offers chrome books and e-readers.
Anne Lalonde agreed to make the revisions to the policy, and Margery made a motion to
forward the revised policy to the full board for approval. Lauren Ballard seconded the motion
and it passed unanimously.
5:53 p.m. Added discussion of Library of Things Policy
The committee decided to add the following to the Library of Things policy: A parent or guardian
must be present to sign a waiver for patrons under 18 years of age.
Lauren made a motion for Margery Vagt to make this addition to the current policy and bring it
to the full board for approval. Anne Lalonde seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
