Final Minutes
South Burlington Library Governance & Nominating Committee
Monday, May 10, 2021 @ 6 p.m.
Location: Zoom meeting

Members Absent: Lauren Ballard

6:14 p.m. Call to Order

6:16 p.m. Comments and questions from the public not related to items on the agenda

6:17 p.m. Approval of draft minutes of March 18, 2021
Margery Vagt moved to approve and seconded by Stacey Pape. Motion approved.
6:20 p.m. Continue review of trustee and library policies for updates
Discussion around the Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct Policy to be brought to the
Trustees for approval of the updates. Minimal changes were made to update some of
the word choices in the policies. As a group we discussed updating the formatting of
all of the policies at once so that they are consistent. This will be completed once we
have the new group of updates approved.
It was suggested by Jennifer Murray to focus on the Computer Use and Library Use
policies at our next meeting. At that time, we need to discuss service animals so that
we include language in the Library Use Policy.
6:50 p.m. Set bi-monthly meetings
Stacey Papewill bring up next meeting dates at our June meeting so that Lauren is
part of the discussion.
6:55 p.m. Discuss possible vacancies and nominations
Stacey Pape shared that both Ted Lenski and MargaretAnn Cross are applying to
renew their term and that we have three applications for the two open slots that the city
will review. Stacey Pape, Patrick LeDuc and Jennifer have reviewed the applications
and provided feedback to the City Council. We are awaiting word on the next steps.

Hearing no other business Chair Stacey Pape adjourned the meeting at 7:12pm
