The motioned passed unanimously. 4:48 p.m. Consider edits and additions to library polices, to include First Aid Policy, Collection Development Policy (to add Library of Things), Library Use Policy The Library Use Policy has already been approved by the full board, and the First Aid Policy has not yet been updated by the city. The Collection Development Policy was last approved February 2022. The policy needs to be updated to include the Library of Things. The committee discussed how and when waivers should be required when items from the Library of Things are borrowed by patrons. Jennifer Murray will discuss the issue with the city attorney and the committee will continue the discussion at the next meeting. 5:10 p.m. Finalize job descriptions for members of the Library Board of Trustees The committee has finalized the job descriptions and they have been approved by the full board. 5:15 p m. Additions or deletions to the posted agenda The committee agreed all future meeting will be on the third Monday of the month at 5:15 p.m. The Social Media Policy has been tabled until a new Digital Specialist is hired and the committee will revisit the policy at the next meeting. The committee will review the bylaws at the next meeting. The committee will also discuss the applications for the Library Board of Trustees. The committee would like to formalize working with the City Council to choose Board members given the Library Board of Trustees is a governing, not advisory body. 5:28 p.m. Adjourn Approved 4/17/2023
