Strategic Planning Committee
Wednesday, June 13, 2022 @ 5 p.m.
Location: South Burlington Public Library & Zoom
Members Present: Patrick Leduc, Ted Lenski, Stacey Pape, Margery Vagt, Donna Swartwout
Members Absent:
Staff Members Present: Jennifer Murray
Call to Order
Chair Called the Meeting to Order at 5:03 pm
Additions and deletions to the posted agenda
None
Comments and questions from the public not related to items on the agenda
None
Consent Agenda
Upon a motion made by Trustee Ted Lenski and seconded by Trustee Donna Swartwout , the
Trustees voted unanimously to accept the minutes of the May 4, 2022 Meeting.
Review of goal Statements
The committee reviewed the materials provided by Jennifer and Patrick and then worked
through the many themes and suggested goals. The drafted four high level goals that still
require wordsmithing.
o The SBPL will be an engaged community leader/catalyst/convener
o All community members will see themselves reflected at the SBPL
o The SBPL will create opportunities for all community members to thrive in a digital
world
o The SBPL will strive to eliminate barriers that limit access to programs, services, and
collections.
Jennifer agreed to cross walk the goals against the various action items and tasks to make sure
the goals were able to be tied to the action items.
The Committee agreed to present these high-level goals to the full board at the next meeting.
Other Business
Seeing no other business, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 6:15 pm.
