We are fortunate to have members with experience in city planning, bike infrastructure, and business. Erica has great  expertise in construction.  I think anyone with passion for bike/ped issues will be of benefit. People from more diverse  backgrounds are very welcome, particularly with physical challenges.  These perspectives are invaluable for our  committee.  We could use someone who enjoys/is willing to  sit in  on DRB meetings. One of our past members was very  diligent and was a good advocate for bike/ped.  We don't currently have anyone to do this.  As we work on  implementing our climate action plan, we are working on creating a culture shift, and behavioral shifts.  For this goal,  we  would appreciate any skill set with education, writing, and function planning or any other skill set I'm not thinking of  that would help us work on this goal.  Do you have attendance concerns for any individuals who may be reapplying to serve? No, none what so ever.  Are there individuals reapplying to serve that you feel do not warrant an interview and should be reappointed? The idea is that if we have active and productive volunteers who want to keep going, no need to pull them in for another night meeting.  NOTE:  I will share these names with the relevant Committee Chairs/Vice Chairs and Staff Liaisons on May 18/19. I think Dana Farr and Nic Anderson are both valuable members of our committee, I'd like to advocate for reappointment  without interview for both of them.  Nic is our Clerk, who takes such complete minutes they are basically a transcript. He  is also Sr. Director of Planning and Operations at Champlain College, with extensive professional bike infrastructure  experience and he often works with local motion. Dana is an experienced road cyclist and frequent bike commuter.  She  has been with our committee for 11 years and brings practical experience and historical knowledge, the kind that is  never written down anywhere, but is really helpful to know.  thanks so much for asking these great questions, happy to send along more info as needed.  2    Havaleh  chair, BPC      Please note: message attached    From: Jessie Baker <jbaker@southburlingtonvt.gov>  To: Sandra Dooley <dooleyvt1@comcast.net>, Havaleh Gagne <taralovers@netzero.net>, Erica Quallen  <equallen@southburlingtonvt.gov>, "Peter Taylor (pt46er@gmail.com)" <pt46er@gmail.com>, Betty iPhone  <bmilizia@comcast.net>, Holly Rees <hrees@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Dawn Philibert <dawnph@comcast.net>, Marla  Keene <mkeene@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Marty Gillies <mgillies@southburlingtonvt.gov>, "jrbipad@gmail.com"  <jrbipad@gmail.com>, Ilona Blanchard <IBlanchard@SouthBurlingtonVT.gov>, "Tim Perrin (perrin.t@gmail.com)"  <perrin.t@gmail.com>, Lou Bresee <lbresee@southburlingtonvt.gov>, "47central@comcast.net"  <47central@comcast.net>, Stacey Pape <papesjda4@gmail.com>, Jennifer Murray <jmurray@SouthBurlingtonVT.gov>,  Jean‐Sebastien Chaulot <chaulot@gmail.com>, Dave Wheeler <dwheeler@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Martha Machar  <mmachar@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Steve Locke <slocke@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Jessica Louisos  <jlouisos@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Paul Conner <pconner@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Kelsey Peterson  <kpeterson@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Donna Kinville <dkinville@southburlingtonvt.gov>,  "ravi_venkataraman@outlook.com" <ravi_venkataraman@outlook.com>  Cc: Helen Riehle <hriehle@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Meaghan Emery <memery@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Tim Barritt  <tbarritt@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Tyler Barnes <tbarnes@southburlingtonvt.gov>, Andrew Chalnick  <achalnick@southburlingtonvt.gov>  Subject: Committee Appointment Process ‐ FY24  Date: Mon, 8 May 2023 18:45:11 +0000  From:Jean Sebastien Chaulot To:Jessie Baker Subject:"EXTERNAL"Re: Committee Appointment Process - FY24 Date:Tuesday, May 9, 2023 4:49:20 PM        This message has originated from an External Source. Please use proper judgment and caution when opening attachments, clicking links, or responding to this email.       Good afternoon Jessie, My answers to the subcommittee interviewing for the NRCC candidates are below:What skill sets or professional backgrounds are you interested in adding to theCommittee? A professional background or a degree in environmental science is a perfectprofile to be part of the committee. Members with a love of nature and goodcommunicators also matches well the profile of a good candidate. This committee isscience based and the candidate must trust the sciences as a base to lead to the bestdecisions. Do you have attendance concerns for any individuals who may be reapplying to serve? NoAre there individuals reapplying to serve that you feel do not warrant an interview andshould be reappointed? Larry Kupferman is a strong member of the NRCC andinterviewing him is not required. I already met with 2 potential candidates for the vacant seats: Julian K. and Christine S. andthey both seem to be a good fit for the positions.
