An advisory committee for this group will be assembled by Jessie Baker (City Manager) and will consist of 8 – 10 people. • Smart Growth held 4 webinars over the course of “Walktober” with the Maryland Departments of Planning and Transportation. I listened in to 2 of them and they were great. All of them are recorded and available online. I definitely recommend checking them out! Maryland Celebrates Walktober 2022 with a New Series of Walkinars - Smart Growth Online • The study with CCRPC and Hoyle Tanner looking at 4 potential crosswalk locations is underway and they plan to come to the December committee meeting to present their concepts and solicit feedback from the committee and the public. • Design continues on the Spear Street path and is moving into preliminary design. • The ROW phase for the Dorset Street path is ongoing and will likely continue through much of winter with plans to construct in Summer 2023. • DPW has been working with Stantec to develop internal DPW design and construction standards for consistency on all new projects (both private and public) and includes standards on bicycle and pedestrian facilities so that the network will become more consistent and predictable.
