Approved Minutes Members in attendance: Linda Norris, Tom Bailey, John Burton, Sriram Srinivasan Members Absent: Jacob West Others in attendance: Jessie Baker (City Manager) 1. Welcome, agenda review and approval The Meeting was called to order by John Burton, Chair, at 5:30 PM and the agenda was approved. 2. Public comments on items not on the Agenda None 3. Approve minutes from March 8, 2022 meeting Tom B motioned and Linda seconded. Minutes were approved. 4. City Manager Jessie Baker updates Mon June 6, City Council (CC) will consider the ARPA survey to put out to community for input on how to use remaining $3M ---surveys due back Sept. EDC can review survey at next mtg for inputs / ideas. UMALL new owner--Andrew Hayes will be guest at upcoming JUNE 14, 5:30pm mtg at City Hall. 5. FY22 Policy Priorities & Strategies Annual Report and 6) Develop Committee proposal for FY23 Policy Priorities and Strategies FY22 Policy and Annual report reviewed. Much discussion ensued on removing and adding work items. Jessie made changes to the spreadsheet. Priorities included stakeholder interviews for the comprehensive plan. Linda will draw up list of company visits v. inhouse roundtable interviews for information input & sharing on SB Comp Plan and other initiatives SB would like input on. This will start with the UMALL on June 14. 7. Economic Data Collection Data services discussion resulted in John Burton finalizing data list to send to UVM and CCRPC (Melanie Needle from March mtg) to use to develop a dashboard. The committee will prioritize getting first draft ASAP before adding more data. 8. Economic Impact Studies – Not discussed 9. Branding & Promoting the South Burlington economy Linda suggested wrapping this into the Stakeholder interviews along with discussion with businesses on their Green Branding initiatives, the Comp Plan, ARPA survey and potentially cannabis sales input. 10. Updates Climate Action Plan Task Force: Sriram updated that the Pathways finished last week. He will send the link for review. It’s also on the SB website, Planning and Zoning tab. 11.
