Burke sburke@southburlingtonpolice.org VICTIM: AGE: VICTIM ADDRESS: Withheld SUSPECT: AGE: SUSPECT ADDRESS: Kendall Liberty 20 South Burlington, Vermont DISPOSITION: Held without bail NARRATIVE: On 07/20/2021 the South Burlington Police took a late reported domestic assault. The investigation found that on this date shortly before 7:00 AM Kendall Liberty, 20 YOA of South Burlington Vermont, forced his way into a room which was occupied by his former domestic partner and a male subject. Liberty demanded that the male subject leave the residence. When there was hesitation on the part of the male, Liberty left the residence and armed himself with an AK-47 style rifle which was stowed in his vehicle. Liberty’s former domestic partner took steps to lock the residence while Liberty was outside. Liberty forced his way back into the residence at which time he pointed the loaded AK-47 style rifle at the head of his former domestic partner. The victim as able to run away from Liberty while another person present intervened. Liberty was located by investigators and taken into custody without incident. Liberty had in his constructive possession a Century Arms AK-47 rifle and a quantity of psilocybin mushrooms. Liberty was lodged with the Department of Corrections held without bail.
