NARRATIVE:
On 04/06/2021 at approximately 0611 hours the South Burlington Police responded to an
incident at the Oil and Go located at 1691 Shelburne Rd. The investigation found that the
business had been shot multiple times by an unknown suspect. Investigating officers
determined that the shooter was likely in a vehicle on Shelburne Road and that the actual
incident occurred at approximately 0530 hours, this detail came to light as there was an
employee on site at the time of the shooting. One of the shots struck a Vermont Gas Meter on
the building which required support from the South Burlington Fire Department and Vermont
Gas Systems.
In addition to this investigation the Oil and Go business located in Essex, VT was found to have
multiple shots fired at their building in the late night/ early morning hours of 04/06/2021.
Detectives from both SBPD and Essex Police are pursuing numerous leads in these cases given
the commonality of targeted property. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is
asked to contact police.
