NARRATIVE:
On 03/23/2021 the South Burlington Police were called to the Ethan Allen Motel in South
Burlington for a report of a suspicious male on the property who entered numerous rooms
without permission. Numerous witnesses on scene provided statements and information about
the male, and had taken a photo of the suspect’s truck who had left the scene prior to police
arrival.
Statements and information obtained from witnesses indicated the suspect had entered several
rooms without permission and went into the bathroom of one room and watched an individual
while they were showering.
SBPD Detectives located the suspect, 43 year old Jason Metras at his residence in Derby,
Vermont. Metras reportedly was there for a sexual encounter with someone he met on social
media, which he advised turned out to be a scam.
Metras was issued a citation for June 24, 2021 for the charges of Felony Unlawful Trespass,
Voyeurism, and Violation of Conditions of Release. Metras had active conditions of release from
a Lewd and Lascivious Conduct charge from Newport, VT Police.
