South Burlington Library Gov & Nom Committee Thursday, January 29, 2020 @ 5 pm Location: Phone Conference CAll
Members Present: Stacey Pape, Patrick Leduc, Nancy Fawley
Members Absent: Mark Cole
Staff Members Present: None
Chair Stacey Pape called the meeting to order at 5:02 pm, and a quorum was established.
Additions or deletions to the posted agenda:
There were no additions and deletions to the posted agenda
Comments and questions from the public not related to the items on the agenda:
None
Approval of the August 8, 2019 minutes
Patrick Leduc moved to approve and seconded by Nancy Fawley, the committee. Motion
approved.
Action on Computer and Internet Policy Following a short discussion on the policy, Patrick moved to recommend to the full board, Nancy 2nd. Motion approved. Action on Library Staff Job Descriptions Following a short discussion on the reason for the changes, Patrick moved to recommend to the full board, Nancy 2nd. Motion approved.
Update on board members with expiring terms and potential new members
Stacey shared that we have an open seat and Bonnie has indicated she will not be re-applying for the board when her term expires. Stacey and Patrick will connect with Mark to hear his intentions. We will brainstorm names and ask the full board to brainstorm names that we think will be good members of the board, bring in the skills
we might need in the next few years, and/or bring a voice we do not currently have on
the board. There was also discussion on encouraging a person with a young family to join the board and the potential of a SBHS student who may or may not have voting
rights. Other Business None Adjourn Seeing no other business Stacey adjourned the meeting at 5:20pm
