Dince #648 DATE/TIME: July 22nd, 2018 at 5:39 pm INCIDENT TYPE: Heroin Trafficking x2, Cocaine Trafficking x2 and Resisting Arrest BRIEF NARRATIVE: On July 22nd at 5:39 pm, a South Burlington PD officer initiated a motor vehicle stop on a Honda Civic in the parking lot of the Double Tree inn located on Williston Rd after observing the vehicle to not have an inspection sticker and for the vehicle not have a registration sticker displayed on its rear license plate. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Richard W. Davis 38 y/o of Barre, VT and the passenger in the vehicle was identified as Noah L. Gregg Jr. 24 y/o of New York, NY after initially providing the officer with a false name. The officer observed indicators of possession of drugs/narcotics. A large amount of crack cocaine was found on Gregg Jr.. While officers attempted to place him under arrest, he resisted arrest by running away on foot. Gregg Jr. ran through heavy traffic on Williston Rd and eventually onto the Interstate. Officer a short while later, located Gregg Jr. after he attempted to change his clothing. The officer conducted a consent search of the vehicle and located a large amount of crack cocaine and heroin concealed in the trunk of the vehicle. Davis was placed under arrest for heroin trafficking and cocaine trafficking, and Gregg Jr. was placed under arrest for heroin trafficking, cocaine trafficking and resisting arrest. The total amount of crack cocaine recovered was 82.37 grams and the total amount of heroin recovered was 37.14 grams. The combined street value estimate of the drugs recovered was approximately $18,000.00. Both Davis and Gregg Jr. were lodged at Chittenden County Correctional Center with $5,000.00 bail for their offenses.
