BRIEF NARRATIVE:
On 07/14/2018 at 0241 hours, officers of the South Burlington Police Department responded to report of an erratic operator, driving on one flat tire, swerving, driving off the roadway, and losing parts to the car. With the help of the caller officers located and stopped the erratic operator on Spear St just south of the UVM Farm.
Further investigation indicated the operator, Chi Zhou (23), of South Burlington had damaged her two front tires and continued driving on the steel rims, struck a mailbox, and proceeded to leave the scene of that
accident. She was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and provided a roadside preliminary breath
sample of .153% BAC.
Zhou was taken into custody without incident and processed for DUI at South Burlington Police Department.
She received a citation to appear in court on 08/02/2018 at 0830 hours to answer to the charges of DUI and
LSA.
